Racetronix Fuel Pump and Harness Install

This install was in 2 parts. The first part was done in 2017, after I unfortunately allowed bad gas to sit in the tank for a while and it killed the factory pump. The second part is from 2024, when the same thing happened, but worse. In the second case, the ethanol ate away all the rubber in the fuel tank and required replacing the entire bucket and sender assembly.  

First, we did the 'hatch method':

From there, there are some minor harness modifications necessary for Racetronix kit, and then reinstalling it:

Then installing the hotwire harness, which requires running a harness all the way from the engine bay +12V terminal back to the rear:

Now in 2024, doing it all again, and unfortunately removing Dynamat in the process to get the fuel pump assembly:

Unfortunately, the ethanol-containing fuel did a number of the contents of the tank:

New pump and tank o-ring:

I got a brand new entire (factory) fuel pump assembly and swapped the Racetronix pump into it:

Replacing the fuel filter and getting some new ethanol-free fuel to test:

Unfortunately after reinstalling it, I also realized the tank level sender needed to be replaced, so I did that:

Testing again:
