Over the next few days, temps aloft went up a bit and weather for the weekend was starting to look good for a possible trip to Canada. I decided that we had a window to go up to Seattle IFR and probably onto Victoria the following day. We left early on Friday afternoon and had an easy flight with great views of Mt. Rainier, Mt. St Helens, and more. There was a high overcast around Seattle, so we did the ILS into 32L, but broke out well before the FAF. They asked us to keep the speed up to short final. We spent just one night in Seattle. We ended up staying in Bellevue but we got an Uber over to the city to walk around Pike Place Market, and walked up near the Space Needle and had dinner at a pretty good "Thai Street Food" restaurant with Chris and his wife (and dog), also from Katherine's last company. That evening, I decided the weather looked favorable to go to Victoria, BC for a couple days so we were going for it. I found a rapid molecular COVID test and booked it, and filed the eAPIS/ArriveCAN/CANPASS for the following morning.
