We slept in a bit and got breakfast and walked around town some more, including checking out the Riverwalk area and Magic got chased by some very angry geese.

We headed back to the hotel to check out and started flight planning in the lobby. I wanted to stop somewhere in Arkansas for fuel and lunch, and Hot Springs looked like one of the more interesting spots so we headed that way.

We departed the OKC area and ended up over a thick cloud layer for much of the flight, but the clouds finally thinned up near Hot Springs so I was able to cancel IFR before joining the approach and just flew in VFR. It's a very pretty approach into Hot Springs!

We borrowed one of the crew cars (an old minivan), and headed into town to get some lunch (pizza) and wander around a bit. Hot Springs is definitely a sleepy little tourist town, but it has some charm to it.
