I'm Ryan, a part-time CFI from Orlando, FL.
I'm Ryan, a part-time airplane flight instructor (CFII) and software engineer from Orlando, FL. I've been flying since 2005, and I've been instructing since 2020. I own a 1984 Mooney M20J airplane, and I often fly it all across the continent on family adventures with my wife Katherine and our dog Magic. I am based at the Orlando Executive Airport (KORL), close to downtown Orlando, FL.

I had the opportunity to fly out to and spend the night on the USS Eisenhower (CVN-69) via a C-2A Greyhound Carrier Onboard Delivery aircraft, including an arrested landing and a catapult shot takeoff.
Katherine and I had the opportunity on the way to an Everst Base Camp trek to fly to and from one of the most dangerous airports in the world, Lukla (VNLK), Nepal, deep in the Himalayas.
I provide a variety of flight instruction services to clients in the Orlando, Florida area. As someone who has done all of his flight training while working full-time, I understand the challenges many students face with the traditional flight school environment, and I aim to provide a more flexible, personalized approach to flight training. I became a flight instructor because I love teaching, not because I am time-building, and I am very invested in seeing my students succeed.
I can offer flight instruction in any of the aircraft in the Van Anda Aviation aircraft fleet, which includes a variety of Cessna 172, 182, and Piper PA-28s, as well as some other local rentals. I can also provide instruction in your own airplane. As an owner and frequent flier of a 1984 Mooney M20J, I can also offer Mooney-specific instruction or transition training in your Mooney M20.
